About our academy
St George Swim Academy is an innovative swim school for beginner and intermediate swimmers. We cater from babies as young as 8 months, through to teaching children of an intermediate level.
Owner and director, Sarah Bozic, delivers an innovative swimming curriculum program which enables students to progress through different stages, acquiring the necessary skills to be able to swim competently and enjoy the water. The St George Swim Academy swimming curriculum is a program run in conjunction with the Royal Life Saving Society. The academy also incorporates safety skills as part of a 10 week program (for children aged from 3 years), which teaches necessary lifesaving skills.
We pride ourselves on delivering high quality lessons to children and manage to do this through continuous training through the Laurie Lawrence World Wide Swim School learning platform. St George Swim Academy is small and personalised and features friendly teachers who work to foster a love of the water. All of our teachers are AUSTwim qualified and attend regular courses and training to upgrade their credentials and skills.
All classes are conducted in a purpose-built indoor hydrotherapy pool with computerised temperature control. Our water temperature is perfect for beginner swimmers (33º), and we operate all year-round.
With a maximum of 2 classes running at the same time, St George Hydrotherapy Pool creates the perfect environment for young children to learn to swim without distraction.
All learn to swim levels are catered for from babies and toddlers through to stroke correction for confident young swimmers.
Lessons are of a 30-minute duration and clients are welcome to attend up to 2-3 times per week.
